The use of computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging can vary significantly based on the degree of necessity to use a method that is decided by the maxillofacial surgeon. The radiological assessment of computed and magnetic resonance imaging images focuses on some important ‘’reporting points” when assessing images of parotid sections, when an ultrasound scan is considered incomplete and requires further evaluation. The use of CT and MRI significantly not only improved the recognition of tumors of the near-pharyngeal space, but also made it possible to conduct differential diagnostics between them.
