  • ASSESSMENT OF HEMATOLOGICAL BLOOD PARAMETERS IN PRACTICALLY HEALTHY INDIVIDUALS AND PATIENTS WITH ACUTE PURULENT ODONTOGENIC OSTITIS To study the characteristic features of the cellular composition of blood in patients with acute purulent odontogenic ostitis of the jaw. Material and methods: The data obtained during the examination and treatment of 42 patients with acute purulent odontogenic ostitis at the age of 7 to 9 years, who apphed to the TGSI clinic, were studied. Results: In the patients, the indices of the red part of the blood were significantly lower than in the comparison group. A low level of hemoglobin can cause hemic tissue hypoxia and affect the state of the acid-base state of the blood, expressed in the form of acidosis, which activates anaerobic glycolysis. An increase in the level of lactic acid m cells can be one of the reasons for the disruption of local microcirculation and the accumulation of endogenous toxins. Conclusions: This pathology' is accompanied by a shift m the indicators of the white part of the blood, the observed hemic hypoxia leads to an increase in the level of lactic acid in the cells, which may be one of the reasons for the disruption of local microcirculation and the accumulation of endogenous toxins.

  • CLINICAL AND BIOCHEMICAL ASSESSMENT OF SERUM BILE ACID CONTENT IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC CATARRHAL GINGIVITIS ASSOCIATED WITH CHRONIC CALCULOUS CHOLECYSTITIS With chronic calculous cholecystitis in the blood serum, the level of all components of bile, and especially bile acids, rises. This is due to the defeat of the parenchyma, the presence of portocaval shuntsand impaired removal of bile acids from the blood of the venous portal vein. In addition, bile acids enter the bloodstream from damaged hepatocytes. An increase in the activity of alkaline phosphatase reflects an increase in its synthesis by hepatocytes and epithelial cells of the biliary tract. Bile acids, on the one hand, induce the synthesis of alkaline phosphatase, and on the other hand, contribute to its cleavage from cell membranes. The main clinical significance of the study of gammaglutamyltranspeptidase is the diagnosis of cholestatic conditions, especially in combination with other enzymes

  • PECULIARITIES OF THE COMPOSITION OF GLYCOPROTEINS IN ORAL FLUID IN ATHLETES OF CYCLIC SPORT To identify the characteristic features in the composition of glycoproteins of the oral fluid in athletes of cyclic sports. Material and methods: Clinical, laboratory and dental examination was carried out in 56 athletes at the age of 18-25 years of various levels of fitness, going in for cyclic sports (rowing and canoeing) at different periods of the training cycle. Duration of sports experience – 5.7±1.12 years on average. The control group consisted of 12 somatically healthy adolescents with clinically healthy periodontal disease. Results: A high level of sialic acids was revealed in the glycoproteins of the oral fluid, which is a compensatory device that provides the viscosity of the oral fluid during physical exertion, thereby providing the barrier function of saliva. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop a targeted comprehensive program for the prevention of major dental diseases in athletes.
