  • QUALITY OF LIFE IN PATIENTS WITH TRIGEMINAL NERALGIA AFTER FOR MICROVASCULAR DECOMPRESSION OF THE TRIGUE NEVER ROOT To study the quality of life in the pre-and postoperative period in patients with trigeminal neuralgia after microvascular decompression of the trigeminal nerve root. Material and methods: The results of observations of 408 patients with NTN before and after microvascular decompression of the trigeminal nerve root were analyzed in 2012-2018 undergoing treatment at the Republican Scientific Center of Neurosurgery. All patients were examined in a standard way: clinical examinations by specialists and X-ray examinations. Results: A comparative assessment of the quality of life and pain syndrome using the questionnaires we developed showed that the questionnaires correlate with each other, and the developed questionnaires are not inferior in sensitivity, reliability and validity to those used earlier. Conclusions: The use of the questionnaires developed by us for assessing pain syndrome and quality of life is an important tool for assessing the effectiveness of surgical treatment of patients with trigeminal neuralgia.

  • PSYCHOSOCIAL RECOVERY IN COMPLEX REHABILITATION PATIENTS WITH MAXILLOFACIAL PATHOLOGY Psychosocial recovery during the rehabilitation of cancer patients with maxillofacial pathology. Material and methods: From 2008 to the present, 157 oncological patients aged 20 to 70 years with postoperative defects of the maxillofacial region, in whom various methods of prosthetics were used, were under observation in the clinic of the RCRC of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the RSNPMTSOR of the Ministry of Health. Results: After 10-12 months, 78 patients underwent repeated prosthetics. 80 patients used removable dentures with an obturator for more than 5 years. Due to the recurrences that occurred. 2-3 patients were made removable lamellar prostheses. Due to the mobility of the teeth located along the edge of the defect, new prostheses were made to 17 patients within two years. At the 3-5th year of life after the operation. 41 patients received repeated removable dentures with an obturator. Conclusions: The results obtained confirm the need for purposeful formation of the postoperative cavity and its use to relieve the abutment teeth.

  • CHOICE OF SURGICAL TACTICS IN COMBINATION OF BONE ATROPHY TISSUE OF THE UPPER JAW AND CYSTS OF THE MAXILLARY SINUS If cysts are found in the maxillary sinus in a patient with bone insufficiency in the area of chewing teeth, before performing sinus-lifting surgery, the patient should undergo a cystectomy operation under the supervision of an ENT doctor. In this case, the patient will undergo two long-term operations, while it makes sense to consider performing these two operations simultaneously. Cystectomy surgery is more often performed under general anesthesia by an endonasal ENT doctor. We propose to cany out a sinus lift and a cystectomy at the same time under local anesthesia
